  • Call to Order and Welcome!  Past President Michael Blower calls the meeting to order

    Welcome to our members and their guests to a year of Service Above Self. “Imagine” is our mantra this year, and with your help we can be as successful this year as we have been in the past. Rotary Club of Stockton was formed in 1914 just the 92nd club worldwide. With over 1.4 million Rotarians worldwide.   Rotary International was formed by Paul Harris in Chicago in 1905. Stockton Rotary celebrated our 109 Anniversary just in February. We have a rich history in Stockton.


    Meetings are brought to you live at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.

  • Guests of Rotarians: Past President Michael Blower introduced his guests Harry Black and Kimberly Warmsley. The other guests were Blake Smallie with his son Petra.

Club Announcements

District Conference Save the Date – June 24th and its only one day conference to be held at Ironstone Winery in Murphy’s

COG Report: Miguel Lara gave a brief report about the current members in COG and a meeting for COG next week.

WWII Memorial: The Memorial Day Event will be at 9am on Memorial Day at the WWII Memorial.

Flavor Fest: Thank you to all that volunteered!

Kick-out Committee: There will be a meeting tonight at Past President Kevin Kauffmen’s house.

DacDB Tutorial: Secretary Matthew Grizzle will give a quick tutorial about DacDB to find statements and update your information.

Doksha Event: President Colleen is having a free social and all of Stockton Rotary is invited to her home on Thursday, June 1st so she can thank her Board and all the Rotarians who assisted her in her year. You can see flyers on the table, and she is asking for RSVP. Thanks to all of you, she’s had a fantastic year and our club is well respected and doing very well in our region.

Emergency Food Bank: canned beans for May and thanks to all who donated canned vegetables for April

Prospective Member

Walter Peccorini came to the United States at age 14.  He is an agent at The Molina Real Estate Group and has a girl and a boy with wife Sandria.  Walter enjoys soccer and football and lives on W. Swain Road here in Stockton.

Celina Curiel works in Sacramento for Prime Lending but lives here in Stockton.  She has one daughter, Gianna with her partner Jose Serrano.  Celina enjoys being a mom, banker and an Ultra Winner.  That’s a long distance runner of more than 31 miles or 50 km.


Program

Speaker: David Rajkovich, President and Founder of the Stockton Maritime Museum, Home of the USS Lucid

David Rajkovich gave a presentation about the extensive history of the Stockton Port and the shipyards that were all around Stockton. He explained the history of how the Stockton Maritime Museum was founded and where it will be located.
