Program

Speaker: President Colleen about Lakota Virtue of Humility

Introduced by : president elect Walt Wager

President Colleen about Lakota Virtue of Humility and the story of “No Moccasins”.  She read from Joseph Marshalls book about Lakota morals and character and of stories passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth.  There was no written Lakota language and President Colleen was wearing Lakota Regalia including a beaded leather outerwear, a quill and feather headpiece made by Alice Blue legs that is old and also yellow/red leggings and moccasins.  The story of “No Moccasins” is emotional and heartfelt about a woman who lived before 1700 and was brave but humble as was her husband, Three Horns and their amazing story of love, courage and humility.

Next Meeting:  March 29th, 2023

Pat Doyle, MLB 2023 rule changes

I am committed to being a proactive, diplomatic, passionate and hard working
ambassador for baseball. I feel that sharing my expertise in coaching and
developing players and coaches translates into an environment of learning that is
very effective. Baseball has become a common denominator between cultures that
fosters communication and understanding. It allows people to look towards their
similarities not their differences. I have truly been blessed to have experienced a
large variety of cultures and found people to be the best natural resource every
country has to offer. The game of baseball has been overly generous to me and my
family. I plan to keep giving back to all of those that I can so they hopefully can
experience all of the positives that I have gained from baseball.
