Know Your Rotarian
“Know Your Rotarian” is a weekly feature Past-President Waqar started that President Melanie wants to continue in her Rotary year to better acquaint you with your fellow Rotarians.
I am excited to become a member of the Rotary Club of Stockton. I have been attending Rotary meetings and events for last 10 years as a guest since my husband, Waqar ie a member of the club. I am a graduate of Stagg High School. I attended Delta College and transferred to University of the Pacific where I received my bachelor, master and teaching credentials. I have been teaching at Victory Elementary School for the last 18 years. Waqar and I have two children, Fatima who is 10 and Ebraheem who is 5. We celebrated our 15 year anniversary this July and took a trip to Hungary, Greece, Turkey and Pakistan.
I have always appreciated all the activities that Rotary does both locally and internationally. Being a teacher, I especially commend Rotary what it does to promote literacy. I am looking forward to contribute and getting to know each of you better.
