Always fun things happening here at Stockton Rotary!  Past President Chad Sublet offered for sale some beach towels that were left behind by a club member or guest of a member after a weekend outing on the Delta but not before letting the owners lay claim to them.  Is it coincidence that the 4-Way Test is behind him?    Ultimately, the towel Chad’s holding belonged to none other than President Ann who quickly paid a ransom of $50 to get it back!  The other towel belonged to a guest of Kris Blower and she paid $25 to get it back (Chad...

Heroes Park projects – In collaboration with Presentation Church, Peter Jalilie is calling for Rotary volunteers to help install the play structure that is scheduled for completion in September.   The amphitheater will be name “Rotary Amphitheater” in honor of Rotary’s support of the Heroes Park project.  The amphitheater will be used for Friday night movies and concerts. Last Wednesday, the 14th, was Club Night and was at Rigo Cervantes Market, “La Mexicana Super, 3332 Delaware Ave., Stockton, 95204” ( map ).  Not only was it Club Night but was also a celebration of Rigo’s retirement as the club Sergeant-At-Arms the end of this month as well.  Rigo has done an outstanding job as Sergeant-At-Arms for the club for many years.  Glad to report that Rigo is not going anywhere and will still be here to remind us all what service before self is all about!
