Club Announcements

  • Boots Bales & BBQ: Saturday, September 14 at 5:00 pm. $55 each or $60 after August 15. Event will be held at Brookside Farm.
  • Centennial Cocktail party: Monday, August 12 at 5:30 pm at the Hotel Stockton on the roof to commemorate the club’s first planning meeting. $25 each, RSVP by August 2 with Dave Tygett.
  • Annual Golf Tournament: Monday, August 19 at Stockton Golf & Country Club. Contact Bill Wagner to sign-up to play. Contact Jeff Zola to sponsor a hole.
  • District 5220 Foundation & Membership Seminar: Saturday, August 24th, 8:30 am-1 pm at Escalon High School. The cost, $25, will be covered by the club for any members that want to attend. Contact Susan Drake to sign-up or if you need more information.
  • Aidan Reed son of Jeanette Reed collected many bags brought in for his Eagle Scout project for troop 148 (see the picture below).
  • Centennial Celebrations: If you are interested in participating for the Centennial events contact Steve Harvath. Steve is the contact if you want to get involved with February 1, 2014 dinner, otherwise contact Susan Drake or Dave Tygett.

  • $100 Brian Dillon for his seemingly endless appearances on billboards and newspapers in town.

Guest Speaker:Assembly Person Susan Talamantes Eggman, introduced by Former Mayor Ann Johnston.Susan Talamantes Eggman is a trailblazer who is not afraid to get her hands dirty and stand up for what she believes in. Since her grassroots campaign for the Stockton City Council five years ago, Susan has proven herself to be an honest and effective leader whose independent voice of moderation has helped her find solutions to the tough issues facing the city of Stockton.Getting San Joaquin residents back to work is one of Susan’s top priorities. Susan also joined with community leaders to successfully lobby the Veterans Administration to build their new facility in San Joaquin County, which creates jobs and provides vital services for San Joaquin’s many veterans. As a U.S. Army veteran herself, Susan understands the sacrifices made by our young men and women who serve.
