  • Thought for the Day – Waqar Rizvi – the four rooms of life are physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, so spend time each day in each room.
  • Rotary Minute – Past President Gary Putnam quoted Leo Tolstoy “The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity” and as he sees it that’s what Rotarians do; we Respond!
  • Raffle – Jim Darrah won a Silver Eagle

  • Centennial Cocktail party: August 12 at the Hotel Stockton on the roof to commemorate the Club’s first planning meeting. Starts at 5:30pm, $25 each, sign up at club or with Dave Tygett.
  • Annual Golf Tournament: August 19th. Contact Bill Wagner for more information. Contact Jeff Zola to sponsor a hole.
  • District 5220 Foundation & Membership Seminar: Saturday, August 24th, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Escalon High School and cost will be covered by the club for any members that want to attend. Contact Susan Drake to sign-up or if you need more information.

$250 Kuy Ky went to China with his dad and two sons.
$250 Liz Hull recognized as “Young Lawyer of the Month” in June California Bar magazine.


Speaker: Amber Saunders, Executive Director of Mary Graham foundation

Amber gave an insightful program highlighting the ways in which the Mary Graham Foundation helps foster youth. In 2003 the new shelter was completed and serves to house foster youth from a single day to many months at a time. The foundation provides about $50K yearly to the shelter to provide “food/shelter/clothing”. It provides for things all kids should enjoy like; going to the movies, celebrating holidays, ice skating, etc.The Foundation Scholarship has helped 76 foster students attend college with 13 graduates so far.
