Dave Frederickson- Vice Chair/Secretary Director for Grass Roots Global Institute, The Jacoby Center for Public Service & Civic Leadership, University of the Pacific.
Countdown to 2012-The Election Clock is Ticking
Mr. Frederickson began his presentation by commenting about Rotarians and how Rotarians give with a cheerful heart. Mr. Frederickson began his career in Houston Texas. He has been involved in nine presidential elections.
Mr. Frederickson made some observations about this coming presidential election referring to it as the Super Bowl of politics. Some of his observations were the number of debates, the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street Movements and the impact on the election. He told the club that a good presidential election plan requires organization, visibility and lots and lots of money.
Finally, Mr. Frederickson discussed the various types of candidates. Some run to build a resume, others run on a single issue, some look for a pulpit, others run looking to become the Vice President and others hoping to get a position in the President s cabinet.
Dave Frederuckson was introduced by Judy Chambers.
