Speaker…

Nicholas Curtin, O.P.P.
“My Kick Out Or, Thou Shalt Not… .”
The regularly scheduled meeting was preempted by the shocking accusation that President Nick had broken not one but all of the Ten Commandments of being a Rotary President.
An inquisition commenced with a council of Cardinals including Cardinal Moe (Michael Blower), Cardinal Curly (Dave Tygett), Cardinal Larry (Bob Blower), and even RotoPope himself (Gary Putnam). President Nick sat on the stool of judgment as the council heard testimony from many, many members and witnesses presenting evidence of President Nick s transgressions.
With the threat of excommunication as the President of the Rotary Club of Stockton looming each commandment was heard: Thou shall not forget your wife s name Guilty Thou shall not forget the raffle and shall make it comprehensible Guilty Thou shall not let the meeting go past 1:30 Guilty Thou shall not drive with your head up your tail pipe Guilty Thou shall not dress in drag Guilty Thou shall not have too many female speakers Guilty Thou shall not embarrass a new member Guilty Thou shall not let your own cell phone go off in a meeting Guilty Thou shall not where silly hats Guilty Thou shall not move the meeting around Guilty
SHAME ON YOU NICK!
The council of three Cardinals, (Moe, Larry, and Curly) reached a tie vote so RotoPope was called in to bring final judgment. RotoPope brought balance to the charges by citing some examples of the good that has occurred during President Nick s year: Planting many trees Backpacks for needy students Dictionaries for 3rd Graders Foundation total giving over $45,000 Over $180 per capita to annual program funds Polio giving of $3350 Polio Fun Run Matching grants for Malawi medical supplies and Mexicali clean water project The most successful Rotary Read-In in our history Sent playgrounds to Mexicali and Romania Presidential citation with distinction Edison Interact and all their good deeds Growth in Membership Many awards at the District Conference including third place overall for large clubs
Nick Curtin was finally expunged by RotoPope.
