Cami Ferry – Facebook, Twitter, etc., The New Wave of Advertisement. Cami Ferry, a mother of six, is an Entreprencami134eur, Actress, and Home Educator. She currently resides in Lodi, California with her husband and children working from home as the Founder of Lodi Loyalty Clubs, a business she started in 2009 to help local business owners increase their profits and grow their loyal customer base during these tough economic times.

Prior to 1991, when Cami and her husband emigrated to the U.S., she worked in the marketing and advertising departments at Express Newspapers and various publishing companies, ran her own retail business, and performed with numerous theatrical companies while residing in London, England.

Since moving to Lodi, Cami has invested her time and talents in local theatre, church and community, home educating her children, and Entrepreneurial endeavors. In her spare time , she enjoys sharing her expertise and experience with local business owners since they are the backbone of the local economy and deserve the support of the community to withstand the many challenges they face day to day.

The communication “Gate Keepers” have changed beginning with “Written in Stone” by Moses and the Ten Commandments to the Newspapers, to Pony Express to mail, fax and now the internet- “You Have Mail.”

Computers and other communication machinery have gone from being the size of a room to fitting in the palm of our hand.

We don’t wish to wait for communication to take place as illustrated by Live Chat where the consumer texts a question to designated staff who provide immediate answers.

Today’s business must go where the customer is by using the tools they are using.

Club Announcements

The Wheel editor suggests that persons email their announcements to prior to publication of the weekly edition. This will make sure that we present your information the way you wish and not our sometimes mangled interpretation of your verbal presentation.

Matching PHF funds – the Club will match all PHF donations made until the end of March. Susan asked us to review the information that we have received and evaluate our contribution to the Rotary Foundation. Contact Susan at

Asparagus festival – One of our clubs major fundraisers is working the gates at the Asparagus festival. This year s event is April 15-17th. Due to a recent change, no one under the age of 18 can volunteer, so we will need more adult volunteers than ever. Please encourage as many people as you can to volunteer with us. Morning and afternoon shifts Friday thru Sunday are available and signup sheets will be on the tables at Rotary. This is not only a wonderful community service activity that raises money for our club but it is also a lot of fun. Contact is John Green Sign up sheets will be on the tables.

PolioPlus Run – the PolioPlus run (and Walk) event is scheduled for Memorial Day May 30th. It will be a 5K and 10K event. Kerry is looking for participants, volunteers and sponsors for the event. Please see Kerry or email her at .

Japan Earthquake Relief – In response to the massive earthquake off of the coast of Japan and the resulting tsunami on 11 March 2011, the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation (TRF) are temporarily accepting contributions to help fund Rotary projects for longer-term disaster recovery efforts in Japan and the Pacific island nations impacted by the earthquake and tsunami. Trivia Bee – Kerry Krueger commended our Trivia Bee Team for taking second place and beating our fellow Rotary teams. Dave & Marlena Tygett took the unofficial first place for their 20’s costumes.

Stockton Thunder Hockey – Please join Stockton and District 5220 Rotarians for the 2nd annual Family of Rotary Day with the Stockton Thunder Sunday March 20 at 3:30 at the Kings Room. The attend the game at 4 pm at the Stockton Arena. Everyone is invited. Last year we had over 300 attendees and had a wonderful time. Ticket prices: vary from $7 to $16 ($16 includes hat). If you sign up by this Friday we will purchase the tickets together so we can sit in the same area. For information please contact Susan Drake

Stockton Rotary Centennial – the date is Feb 1, 2014. We wish to make this a celebratory series of events to share a century of service with the greater Stockton community. The committee has chosen five areas of focus. They are Projects, Events, Book, History and Publicity. If you wish to help in one or more of these areas please contact Susan Drake at We are in need of historical items for our club to include in publications and media announcements. We are asking past presidents and all our members to put on their thinking caps, search your offices and homes for historical tidbits. Please contact Frank Whitney at to help him in this task.

Grocery Card Fundraiser Our new card has the Rotary logo and name on them. Grocery rebate cards are available at the meetings. The Club will receive a rebate of 3% of purchases at SaveMart, Smart Foods, Food Max, and Lucky s. The card may also be used when purchasing pharmaceuticals. To date we have received over $1070.
