- Raffle – It took twenty winners to finally find the one dollar bill and the big pot. The twentieth drawing, Kuy Ky s number one son, found the $1 bill to hit the jack pot.

Special Recognitions - Stockton Rotary recognized Officer Robin Harris as SPD Police Officer of the Year for outstanding performance of duty.
We also recognized Fireman Robert Kessler as SFD Fire Fighter of the Year for outstanding performance of duty.
Avenue of Service Award – President Michael presented this award to Don Barry for his many contributions to the success of this past year.
Appreciation – Tom Cleveland received a plaque expressing our appreciation to him and the Weberstown Mall, for giving us free space in the mall to have the Polio awareness event and fundraiser.
Local Charity Awards – St Mary s Dining Room grant of $4,800 to provide meals, received by Edward Figueroa.
Stockton Shelter for the Homeless, $2,500 to provide sleeping mats. Received by John Reynolds.
Catholic Charities, $1,000 for a laptop computer and file cabinets. Received by Maria Luisa Rangel.
Second Harvest, $1,000 for Senior Brown Bag Food Program. Received by Mike Mallory.

Michael Blower-President of Stockton Rotary
“Celebration of the Rotary Club of Stockton”
President Michael Blower acknowledged this years All Stars. Every one was mugged, presented with gold rimmed mugs provided for the occasion.
President Michael was especially grateful for the success of the Boots, Bales & BBQ fundraiser, the Rummage Sale and the other fund raising events that made it possible to award $20,000 in grants to non-profit organizations in the community. Michael also mentioned the dictionary distribution to SUSD third grade classes.
President Michael concluded the program by awarding the Avenues of Service Award to Don Barry for his many contributions to the success of the past year.

 Kayak Party – Chad Sublet. July 15th at Susan Drake s home at 4 pm. $10 per adult. This has become an annual event. Great food, fellowship and boating. All ages can have a good time. A great event for families. Contact Susan at 472-9662 or at secretary@stocktonrotary.org
Music in the Park – Dave Tygett. July 28. More info to come. To our knowledge Dave is not performing.
Annual Golf Tournament – Bill Wagner. The tournament will be on August 16 at the Stockton Golf and Country Club.
Annual Fundraiser Event – Cathy Dodson. Save the date. Back by popular demand is the Country Hoe-Down, Boots, Bales & BBQ. Featured will be live music, great food and live and silent auction items. The event will be at Borra Vineyards, 1301 East Armstrong Road, Lodi. The barn will open at 5 pm on Saturday September 18. Mark your calendars and sign up. You may visit our online calendar and sign up or fill out your info on fliers at your table. Volunteers are needed, contact Cathy at cdodson@pacific.edu
Support Fund – Jack O’Sullivan Focus Health, Jack’s employer, has established an account at Bank of the West to raise funds for a family left behind by the death of employee Kevin Williams. Focus Health will match donations up to $50,000. Donations may be made at any Bank of the West branch. Stockton Rotary Centennial – the date is Feb 1, 2014. We wish to make this a celebratory series of events to share a century of service with the greater Stockton community. The committee has chosen five areas of focus. They are Projects, Events, Book, History and Publicity. If you wish to help in one or more of these areas please contact Susan Drake at secretary@stocktonrotary.org. We are in need of historical items for our club to include in publications and media announcements. We are asking past presidents and all our members to put on their thinking caps, search your offices and homes for historical tidbits. Please contact Frank Whitney at fwhitney@midcalbbb.org to help him in this task.
Grocery Card Fundraiser Our new card has the Rotary logo and name on them. Grocery rebate cards are available at the meetings. The Club will receive a rebate of 3% of purchases at SaveMart, Smart Foods, Food Max, and Lucky s. The card may also be used when purchasing pharmaceuticals. To date we have received over $772. if you would like additional cards for family, friends see Susan.
