Robert Paoletti’s Blog Page – Robert, a member of our club, is on leave from the Stockton Police Department for a term of duty in Iraq. He will be training Iraqi police. Annual Fund Raiser – Cathy Dodson gave us a brief presentation of the annual fundraiser event. The planned date is October 10th at Jesse Grove Winery and the theme is a Country Hoedown. More to follow save the date.
UOP Golf Tournament – Cathy Peterson gave a brief presentation for a golf tournament to help the Physical Therapy Student Scholarship program at UOP. The event is on September 20, 2009 at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Blood Pressure Test – Harry Hedburg asked all folks who are interested in taking a free blood pressure test to gauge interest also he asked that all doctors let him know if they can perform and assist in the testing. Based on response more will follow.
New Generations Exchange – District 5220 has sponsored a New Generations Exchange (NGE) group from Switzerland this summer and we need your help finding host families for them during the week they are in Stockton from August 30th thru September 5th. NGE is a specialized short-term exchange that lasts 3 to 6 weeks with a focus on bringing college age students, ages 18-25, over to experience the U.S. Culture. There are 8 members of this group along with a Rotary host couple. We need a total of 9 host families or possibly a host that is willing to take on multiple members for their one week in Stockton. Golf Tournament – Bill Wagner – the event will be at SGCC on Monday August 24. Breakfast and range balls at 8:30 AM. Shotgun start at 10:00 AM. Lunch to follow. Contact Brant Fetters or sign up at the table or go to our online calendar.
District Conference 2010 – It is not too early to plan for next year’s conference which will be hosted by our DGE Susan Drake and held at entrancing South Lake Tahoe. They have created some incentives to help us make a decision. We suggest you don’t miss out. Coming soon a video starring Kayaker Susan and Chef Dudley.
