Concern Report – Randy Dockery memorial at 11:30 on Saturday May 9 at the Stockton Golf and Country Club. Randy joined our club in 1974 and was president for the year 1985-86.
Charity Awards – This year to date we have contributed $39,000 to international causes, $40,000 to charities through our Stockton Rotary Endowment and today we awarded $25,612 to local charities. The following were the recipients at our May 6 meeting.
Haven of Peace, represented by Brenda Castellanos. Milk for the children at each meal for a 4 month period. A check for $1000.
Second Harvest Food Bank, represented by Mike Mallory, CEO, $1000 for food distributions.
Emergency Food Bank, represented by Tim Viall – $1612 and $3000 for food distributions, fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from local suppliers. Teaching and informational supplies totaling $4612.
American Cancer Society, represented by Molly Bollinini, for patient services such as transportation to appointments, wigs for persons under treatment, support groups, information, and speaking devices and prosthetics for laryngectomy patients- $5000.
St. Mary s Interfaith Dining Hall – Ed Figeroa – Nutrition Services to the homeless, $5000 and the Transitional Learning Center for counseling and teaching supplies for homeless children who are being schooled at TLC $4000.
Hospice of San Joaquin – Barbara Tagnoli and Barbara Pombo. Equipment for the maintenance of Hospice facilities -$2000.
Reach Out and Read – Susan Spracher – $2500.
United Way Science Camp – $250.
